Making digital twins accessible in place

This review examines how people can access digital models in their physical context. It develops the concept of fused twins: digital information anchored to its physical counterpart through situated analytics. It brings together work on digital twins, smart cities and embodied interaction, proposes five core system components, and maps prototypes and open research directions.

Two lobby views comparing sensor visualisation in virtual reality with coloured sensor markers situated in the physical building.
