Evacuation through a changing urban environment

An evacuation route can change when buildings collapse or floodwater blocks access. This work couples agent-based evacuation with earthquake and tsunami simulations, representing environmental damage and agents that perceive and react to it. Demonstration scenarios examine consequences of changing conditions and population patterns, illustrating the value of detailed environments when evaluating time-critical urban evacuation.
