Evacuation models at city scale
Detailed evacuation models must scale without simplifying away local interactions. This system combines agents that perceive their surroundings with a one-metre urban grid, then distributes the simulation across a supercomputer. A benchmark simulated ten million pedestrians over 588 square kilometres. The paper demonstrates computational scalability; its largest benchmark is pedestrian-only and does not establish real-world evacuation accuracy.
