Reusable digital twins for animal systems

IUMENTA connects sensor data, computational models, and visualisation to build adaptable animal digital twins. Built on the Open Digital Twin Platform, the framework supports reusable processing pipelines rather than isolated implementations. The paper illustrates energy-balance monitoring with wearable and software sensors, showing how observations can update digital representations of animal physiology and behaviour over time.
